Abstract/Contents:"In this study, the top layer soil (0 ~ 20 cm) was sampled from the different utilization lawn, including recreational, ornamental and flowerbed type, and the soil physiochemical properties, such as soil pH, bulk density, electrical conductivity (EC), organic matter, cation exchange capacity (CEC), alkali solution nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium were measured, the soil fertility characteristics was comprehensively evaluated by the improved Nemerow index method. The results showed that the lawn soilfertility was in the medium level in Xihua Park in Kunming, but there were obviously differences among different utilization lawnsoil physical and chemical properties. Due to the large soil bulk density and poor soil CEC of recreational lawn, turf cutting or drilling should be carried out in the process of soil management. The individual indicators of ornamental turf are medium or good, and normal maintenance is sufficient; the available phosphorus of the flowerbed turf is poor, which is the limiting factor for the fertility of this type of turf, and it is recommended to add phosphorus-containing fertilizers in the later maintenance."
