Abstract/Contents: | "This booklet summarises the elements of golf course layout and design found to be the most generally acceptable. It is not exhaustive. There is endless scope for refinement of details, some controversial, but once a sure foundation is laid, future development will not be frustrated. When a golf course is in play, there is a limit to what can be changed. But, if, initially, it is planned and built by men of experience in accordance with the principles set out here, no major change should ever be necessary and the considerable sum involved will have been spent wisely." |
