Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the origin of topdressing and the reasons to use it. Also presents experiments by Professor Eggens of the Guelph Turfgrass Institute, which suggests that topdressing is more efficient for thatch control than cultivation, coring, or verticutting. Examines root zone modification through topdressing and the necessity of compatibility between topdressing material and the soil. In addition, rate, frequency of topdressing and the potential for organic waste disposal are covered. |
