| Abstract/Contents: | "For many years the mercury fungicides have been the industry standard for management of the snowmold fungi. Increased concern about the environment, safety considerations and improved technology all contributed to the demise of their availability and use." Briefly Discusses current research underway across the United States to develop alternatives methods of control. Organic supplements, mulches, biocontrol organisms, and new fungicides and combinations of these are at the forefront of current research in this area. |
