| Abstract/Contents: | "In order to determine proper application timing for southern soil insect pests, the golf course superintendent should, (1) know what pests are likely and generally when vulnerable stages occur; (2) establish a system of monitoring (including record keeping) in order to determine exactly where and when these stages are present; (3) identify cost-effective control options for various vulnerable pest stages; (4) establish criteria for control-making decisions; and (5) evaluate results in order to "fine-tune" control strategies, including applicaiton timing." |
