| Abstract/Contents: | "[M]aintaining fast greens on a daily basis is like walking on the edge of a cliff. The superintendent must have a firm grasp of situations when they occur or all may be lost. Good assistants are essential to a fast green program. Probably the best advice is to maintain greens as healthy a state as possible. Try to meet the demands of your membership but use common sense when these demands cannot be met. Your communication skills are very important when it comes time to explain why certain conditions cannot be met. The utilization of sound agronomic principles will always lead to success." |
