| Abstract/Contents: | "...10 different substrates were tested as to their physical properties and their properties with regard to vegetation techniques. During these experiments, water content, water permeability, temperature behavior, proportion of weeds biological activity and productivity and their influence on plant growth were tested. ..." The grasses planted were dry grasses, taken mostly from the surrounding area. The results from the studies are reproduced in accompanying tables. Although these test results are deemed preliminary, and the authors stress the need for further research, the substrates 6, 7, 10, 5 and 3 are of great interest, proving to possess the most positive qualities. |
