Abstract/Contents: | After the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Association of Disabled American Golfers was formed. The group is an advocate of the game of golf and including everyone in the game. The group holds an annual tournament for disabled golfers at Fox Hollow at Lakewood Golf Course. Fox Hollow was specifically designed with handicappers in mind. The USGA Rules of Golf Committee is working to modify rules for five categories of disabled golfers: the blind, amputees, players requiring canes or crutches, those requiring wheelchairs, and mentally challenged golfers. |
