| Abstract/Contents: | Describes the methods that can be used in controlling the serious and widespread injury to golf greens by webworm. Two treatments that were found to be effective by the United States Department of Agriculture were made with commercial pyrethrum extracts and home-made kerosene emulsion. Both treatments had positive outcomes. The pros of the kerosene emulsion is the cost and the effectiveness of the product. The pyrethrum extracts were equally effective and more convenient to the consumer. |
