Abstract/Contents:"During the many years that have elapsed since bent grasses were first planted on greens by the stolon method there has been constant argument as to the merits of the different types of bents for producing good putting surfaces. In order to give a fair test of the influence of the type of grass on the putting qualities of turf, a series of large plots of representative putting greens were planted on the Arlington turf garden, at Washington, D. C., and the Mid-West turf garden, at Everett, Ill."
