| Abstract/Contents: | Data are presented on heading date, as recorded in 1979 and 1980 in seven F. arundinacea cultivars, one of F. pratensis, twelve of D. glomerata, three of A. elatior and four of Ph. pratense. The overall range in each year was around 40 days. The greatest range within a single species was 17 days in D. glomerata. Temperatures were lower in 1980 than in 1979 and all cultivars were six or seven days later in heading. |
