| Abstract/Contents: | "The trial was conducted on a creeping bentgrass tee at the Waverly Municipal Golf Course, Waverly, IA. The experimental design was a randomized complete block with four replications. All plots measured 5 ft. x 5 ft. Fungicides were applied on 11 Nov 1992, using a modified bicycle sprayer at 30 psi and a dilution rate of 5 gal/1000 sq. ft. Snow cover persisted on the tee from 20 Nov 1992 until 30 Mar 1993. Symptoms were rated on 5 Apr 1993. Snow mold development on untreated check plots was light to moderated. Only gray snow mold symptoms were found in the plots. All fungicide treatments gave significantly better control of snow mold damage than the untreated check. None of the fugicide treatments was significantly different from the other disease suppression." |
