| Abstract/Contents: | The five F1 hybrids, obtained after extensive crossing between the two species, displayed characteristics of both parents. In four of the hybrids various developmental disturbances were observed (low viability, aneusomaty and no inflorescence development). Only one hybrid consistently had 2n = 35, good viability and growth. However, it was sterile. |
