Abstract/Contents: | Describes the effects of nitrogen fertilizers on turfgrass diseases. Different fungi cause most of the diseases found in cool season turfgrasses, and the severity of the disease depends on environmental conditions. Diseases listed are; brown patch, dollar spot, and crown rust. Also discussed is the relationship between fertilizer application and disease resistance. |
