Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the timing of chemical control for broadleaf weeds. States that "weeds cannot be completely controlled with proper cultural practices and we must also rely on herbicides for their control." Describes fall as "a good time to control perennial broadleaf weeds...[because] at this time of year there is adequate time for turf to fill in the gaps left by the dying weeds." Briefly discusses the impact of environmental conditions on the effectiveness of herbicides. Concludes that "a healthy vigorous turf is your best defense against broadleaf weeds." |
