| Abstract/Contents: | "Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with its large agriculturally used areas is a good place for seed production. As far as the area is concerned it holds second place in the Federal Republic of Germany. Seed production slows down. The registration of seed is subdivided into the stock-taking in the field and the examination of nature and quality. For reasons of consumer protection the State Registration Office carries out a seed trade control. It proved that quite often the germination rate was too low. The control of the mixtures will therefore in future be the main point to guarantee a specific composition and a minimum germination rate." |
