Abstract/Contents: | "Like it or not, the grounds maintenance industry is often a very unsung and misunderstood profession. Although duties may vary greatly, employees of the golf course, turf and lawn care industries are generally calssified as 'grounds maintenance' personnel." Schweitzer gives an overview of the ground maintenance profession and how the job may not be glorious in appearance, but there is a self-satisfaction factor that makes the profession a worthwhile one. Gives suggestions on how to establish confidence and self esteem of workers and how to improve the personal appearance. |
