| Abstract/Contents: | Describes methods employed by Markus Gollard, superintendent at the Golf Club Konstanz, to improve relations between golfers and golf course staff. Gollrad has found that many members do not understand the maintenance process and its importance. In order to successfully bridge the gap between members and staff, he arranged a tournament that the golfers had to arrange themselves - and in the process, get to know the equipment and methods used for maintenance. The tournament proved to be a successful way to inform the golfers of the responsibilities of the superintendents, and Gollard is planning another for 1998. |
