| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses new legislation from the European Union concerning the use and application of pesticides. The Plant Protection Law makes it illegal for pesticides to be applied anywhere outside of the specific area of application, and illegal for pesticides, or "PSM", to be used on turf for control of turf-damaging organisms. Describes problems that occur in the turf community as a result of this law, including leaching and surface runoff. |
