Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the findings of pesticide-contained jugs in the Lawson Garden Park in Washington. "The Washington Department of Agriculture hit the Pullman park gardener, Varnel Williams, who filled and placed the jugs in the park, with seven violations of pesticide laws. These violations were because a little girl was playing in the park and she found pesticides in jug-like containers and a couple of months later she felt ill. These violations included herbicide placement that endangered children, mixing of Roundup Pro and Banvel Herbicide against the instructions of both herbicide labels, mixing these herbicides in concentrations stronger than those specified on the labels of the herbicides, and keeping poor records of his pesticide treatments." |
