Abstract/Contents: | Uptake of N, P and K was measured in irrigated and unirrigated sunflower, Italian ryegrass, tall fescue, lucerne and maize. Irrigation increased plant N, P and K contents due to improved nutrition conditions, increased root penetration, diffusion of ions and increased hydrous flows. In dry conditions nutrition was impaired, but was improved in crops with roots which penetrated the lower soil levels. |
