Abstract/Contents: | Presents the results of a study examining the efficiency and effectiveness of subsurface irrigation compared to traditional sprinkler irrigation. In tests involving three turfgrass species, plots with subsurface irrigation exhibited lower drought stress, higher soil moisture, deeper rooting and lower water use than plots that received sprinkler irrigation. |
