Abstract/Contents: | Three cultivars and various lines of rye, 44 cultivars of wheat, and two cultivars and several lines of barley were used as female parents in crosses with 15 species of the Poaceae and Panicoideae. Embryos were formed in crosses of rye with Dactylis glomerata, Festuca glauca, Hordeum bulbosum and Zea mays; barley with Agropyron [Elymus] repens, Alopecurus agrestis, Lolium perenne and Pennisetum americanum; and wheat with A. agrestis, D. glomerata and Z. mays. As well as diploid embryos, haploid embryos were obtained in some crosses. |
