| Abstract/Contents: | The disease development in turf grasses was examined in regard to growth and survival structures of three pathogens in each diseased tissue. Propagules such as actively growing mycelia, abundant lobed-hyphopodia and conidia were observed at the early stages of infection and disease development. Sexual structures and/or disintegrated asexual structures were, however, found when the diseases grew less serious. Thus, we presume that a microscopic study of growth and survival structures strongly indicates different pathogenic abilities of the pathogens in host tissues. |
