| Abstract/Contents: | "In a replicated field trial at Balboa Park Golf Course, San Diego, CA, bi-weekly applications of Aliette Signature combined with either Daconil 2787 or with various formulations of Chipco 26019 resulted in significantly higher quality turf than the untreated control; all of the combinations tested produced high quality turf, with no significant differences among the different combinations. The observed improvement in turf quality was primarily due to the disease control capabilities of these combinations, with a significant infestation of dollar spot (caused by Sclerotinia homeocarpa) controlled equally well by all treatments except the non-treated control. Because of the presence of fairly high disease pressure throughout the trial, it was possible to evaluate the role of the treatments tested in reducing the disease component of summer stress complex, but it was not possible to evaluate efficacy on the other, less tangible factors that can contribute to summer bentgrass stress." |
