| Abstract/Contents: | The amount of wt. loss during drying was determined in a total of 141 seed lots of Vicia faba, peas (Pisum sativum and P. arvense), red clover, oats, spring wheat, winter wheat, Italian ryegrass, serradella, V. sativa and rye. Differences were found between the actual and calculated wt. losses but, with the exception of V. faba, the differences were not significant. It was concluded that mean wt. losses during drying could be predicted for different spp. and groups of related spp. from the calculated values for wt. loss. |
