Abstract/Contents:Describes two turfgrass soil management studies completed in 1997. In a study comparing the effects of different types of golf shoe spikes on putting greens and wood surfaces, metal spikes were found to cause the most damage, with no major differences among the types of alternative spikes. In a study comparing management of putting greens on three soils, a variety of management factors were investigated.
