Abstract/Contents: | "The objective was to compare Lynx, an unregistered fungicide in the triazole class of SBI fungicides, with Bayleton and Bayleton combinations. Two formulations of Lynx were evaluated, a liquid EW and a dry flowable (DF)....In general, the 25DF formulation of Lynx performed better than the 250 EW formulation in this trial. With the 250EW, the low rate at 14 day intervals was not different from the high rate at 21 days. The Lynx 25DF performed well in this test, but the 0.5 oz rate @ 21 days fell off in disease control....Bayleton + Fore was an excellent treatment in this test. Bayleton + Prostar was also good, and the Bayleton + Prostar @ 28 days was better than Bayleton alone @ 14 days or Prostar alone at 14 or 21 days. There was some initial phytotoxicity associated with the 250 EW formulation of Lynx....Turf quality rating indicated that the 25DF was better than te [the] 250 EW. Bayelton + Daconil and Bayleton + Fore were better than Bayleton + Prostar or Bayleton or Prostar alone. Lynx has not shown increased coarse texture of bentgrass or an enhanced green coloration associated with other SBI fungicides....Further evaluation of the EW formulation versus the 25DF is warranted to make sure phytotoxicity will not be problematic." |
