| Abstract/Contents: | "A goal of this project is to develop computer-based imaging techniques that can be used to quantify the disease/recuperation dynamic in permanent turfgrass swards." Computer imaging techniques were used to develop luminance histogram images representing healthy and diseased turf. "The luminance histograms developed were superb in accounting for the entire image....we are confident that this type of image analysis will be useful for quantifying turfgrass damage and recuperation." Comparisons are made between the luminance histogram technique and visual assessments turfgrass disease. |
