Abstract/Contents: | Suggests design features that can be incorporated into new or renovated golf courses in order to minimize the impact of high traffic volume. Strategic routing of golf holes, allowing sufficient land area for each hole, providing alternative tees, limiting the space occupied by bunkers and sculpted land formations, and incorporating multiple drainage points into golf course features can help spread traffic over a wider area and minimize areas of high wear. |
