Abstract/Contents:Discusses the importance of professors in the turf industry to design experiments and sort out details that make the turf professional's job a little easier. Provides three professors and their work as examples. Dr. Dan Potter's work on cutworm biocontrol, and Dr. Frank Rossi's lecture on Rachel Carson's Silent Spring and the benefits that resulted from it are discussed. Also discussed is an article, "Managing Potassium in Putting Greens," written by Wayne Kussow.
