Abstract/Contents: | Describes the necessary precautions for encountering snakes on golf courses in Central Florida. The process and anatomy of a snake bite as well as the medical symptoms are discussed. Focuses on such snakes as elapid (coral snakes and cobras), and crotalid snakes (rattlesnake, cottonmouth and copperhead). A sidebar of common snake myths is also included. |
