Abstract/Contents:Discusses the need to consider the course as a whole unit and emphasizes that any change in one area should be evaluated for its effect on the entire course. An example given is the addition of a water zone, which creates a nice challenge for experienced golfers. However, golfers with lesser abilities should have alternate routes available to keep the game fair for them. Other improvements discussed include lengthening holes, moving bunkers, and otherwise renovating courses.
