Abstract/Contents: | Discusses plant growth regulators as applied to woody ornamantals, including both growth retardants and growth inhibitors. Describes proper application procedures, which include: timing, site of application, dosage, coverage, environment, and phytotoxicity. Also discusses special applications in several areas including: control of suckers or water-sprouts, fruit prevention, and right-of-way tree pruning. Provides a list and description of several plant growth regulators and their recommended rates registered for foliar application on woody ornamentals. |
