Abstract/Contents: | Presents the results of a study examining the characteristics of various cultivars of bentgrass, grown at sites in Italy and North Carolina. Cultivars are evaluated for shoot density under close mowing, canopy biomass, leaf blade width, root biomass, and heat stress tolerance. The results of the trial are also discussed in relation to cultural methods for golf greens. |
