Abstract/Contents: | Discusses possible effects of the year 2000 on various machines that may not be year 2000 compliant. Explains ways to prevent problems and how to determine whether machines are compliant. Machinery that could potentially be affected includes computers and their software, PC-based point-of-sale systems, weather stations, petroleum products, accounting payroll and maintenance software, inventory programs, pump stations, reservation and tee-time programs, mowers with computer diagnosis of other chips, computer operated sprayers, gasoline pumps, golf carts that use Global Positioning, televisions and VCRs, alarm systems, calculators and gate clearance equipment. |
