| Abstract/Contents: | Investigates the influences of fertilizers of different compositions on soil and turf quality of 'Providence' creeping bentgrass and the relationships between them. Plots were of a silt loam soil with a pH of 6.7 and with high to very high P and K contents. Observations were taken on pH, P and K, bulk density, infiltration rate, soil fauna populations, microbial activity, and bentgrass quality. Tables of costs, quality ratings, clipping rates, soil quality and changes in soil tests are given. Turfgo 24-4-11 gave the best overall ratings. |
