| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to determine if a Mn/Zn solution could improve bentgrass color and control disease when applied at rates equal to those delivered with mancozeb fungicides, or improve the effectiveness of chlorothalnil, a non-Mn/Zn containing fungicide. A sand putting green was used. The turf was mowed everyday and was fertilized and irrigated. Before the study began most nutrients were in the sufficient area and visual evaluations were taken throughout the experiment. Turf color, dollar spot, leaf spot, and leaf tissue nutrient levels were taken from the turf. The results showed that the use of the micronutrients Mn and Zn enhanced turf color and provided a limited amount of dollar spot and red leaf spot control. |
