Abstract/Contents:Details the process of winterizing golf course irrigation systems. Water left in the pipes over the winter will expand and freeze, causing the pipes to burst. Large courses may take up to a day to winterize whereas residential areas average 30-45 minutes. Recommends using an air compressor at 50-60 psi to blow out the irrigation system.
