| Abstract/Contents: | "This paper covers some of the key ways to bring quality assurance into planning and executing sports turf upgrading and construction projects. An essential component of this is reviewing projects at completion. The New Zealand Sports Turf Institute has a procedure in place to review every project in terms of what worked well and what problems were encountered. In this way the Institute is contunually updating specifications by rewriting sections to improve clarity, to incorporate new legislation and to take advantage of new techniques and improved materials. To minimise the chance of making mistakes which have been seen before, and to ensure any problem's which arise are dealt with efficiently, stakeholders are advised to make use of the technical and project management experience available." Lists the current New Zealand Sports Turf Institute recommendations for sports turf upgrading and construction. |
