| Abstract/Contents: | Describes the changes that Disney has made to the Edison International Field of Anaheim and the Wide World of Sports theme park. Describes the complex in detail, including a baseball stadium, a fieldhouse, baseball and softball diamonds and tennis courts. The complex is covered by the finest Tifway 419 Bermuda Sports turf and has orange grove sand that was imported. The baseball stadium is the only double decker spring training park in Florida. Describes the Anaheim Stadium and how since Disney took it over and the Rams left that it has had a facelift. The stadium was given a facelift and is now something the communitiy cherishes. Describes how the outfield was redesigned and how a geyser was installed and a rockwork pattern was established. This was to enhance the pre-game ceremonies, home runs, special plays and team wins. Advertising is what won people over to come and see the park after there was a decline in attendence after Disney took over the park. |
