| Abstract/Contents: | "Prefabricated sods used in sports fields often do not meet the sports functional requirements due to lack of information about the technical necessities. For this reason, lectures were held at the 86th turf seminar of the German Turf Association which pertained to the industry standards and the implied requirements for production, transport, soil preparation, placement, maintenance and use of prefabricated sod. The special requirements for golf greens were also addressed. Excerpts from the lectures of nearly 150 sports turf experts are listed concerning the most frequent mistakes which lead to legal disputes." |
