| Abstract/Contents: | The white grub problem has been ongoing in recent years. A combination of control strategies were used to which white grubs soon became resistant. The only one that is still effective is cyclodienes. Proper timing of this application is very critical. "Suitable insecticides include the following: bendiocarb (Dycarb, Ficam W, Turcam), diazinon (Spectracide), ethoprop (Mocap), isofen-phos (Oftanol, Pro Turf Insecticide) and trichlorfon (Dylox, Proxol.). Other factors that can lead to poor control include the following:" thatch, heat, U-V light, pH, susceptibility to insecticides, and insecticide formulations. |
