Abstract/Contents:Common ways of aerification are coring, deep verticutting, spiking, and slicing. Prevention techniques include good drainage, lightweight mowers, and use of modified soil with high sand content when constructing. A new type of aerification is solid tine. New equipment such as newly designed drum-type units for fairway use are also discussed.
