Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the problem of water pollution by phosphorus fertilizers. Suggests that turf managers use soil testing to determine how much phosphorus to apply, and that they raise soil phosphorus levels gradually to prevent the nutrient from moving into bodies of water. Includes some additional, brief guidelines for safe use of fertilizer. |
