Abstract/Contents: | Describes the laying of a removable natural grass surface in the Louisiana Superdome on August 28 for an exhibition football game. Installed by Southern Turf Nurseries (STN), the turf was a success and "the only drawback at this point seems to be price. STN footed the bill for the installation and removal inside the Superdome, but the estimated $300,000 price tag for one game is a bit steeper than most clubs appear to be willing to pay for." |
