| Abstract/Contents: | Lists the "ten most common environmental, health & safety violations which could apply to golf courses." The violations include: improper disposal of used chemical containers, spent solvents, used lead cell batteries, etc.; unsafe work areas; failure to provide proper personal protective equipment for chemical exposure and noise hazards and failure to adhere to pesticide applicator license requirements; improper segregation of general versus pesticide application areas; improper storage, placarding and/or labeling of chemicals; leaking underground fuel storage tanks; absence of safety guards on equipment; improper clippings management and disposal; improper chemical application and control of distance from sensitive area exclusion zones; and failure to maintain records. |
