| Abstract/Contents: | "A two-year field study determined the incidence of Sclerotinia dollarspot on the 30 member 1993 NTEP bentgrass collection. Bentgrass varieties including 18th Green, Century, Backspin, Cato/Crenshaw, G6 and SR1020 were consistently among the more dollarspot susceptible varieties while Lopez, Seaside, Cato, L-93, Dominant, Southshore and MSUEB demonstrated tolerance to the disease. Observations on recovery of dollarspot damaged turfgrasses indicated that some varieties showing susceptibility to the disease also had a strong recuperative ability following the disease outbreak. The varieties Century, Backspin, G-2, A-1, and Seaside displayed good recuperative ability following a disease episode in April." |
