| Abstract/Contents: | Compares 11 turfgrass genotypes for water use, irrigation requirements and drought tolerance in Perth, Western Australia. Genotypes were evaluated for growth, color, root growth, and soil water extraction. Results indicate that "the minimum daily irrigation required to maintain acceptable growth and colour over summer (8-14 weeks) ranges from 50-60% of Epan [net pan evaporation] for several warm-season grasses and 80-100% of Epan for two cool-season grasses." |
