| Abstract/Contents: | Compares the cost effectiveness of six fertilizer formulations for use on golf course fairways: nitrate of lime and ammonia, calcium cyanamide, Floranid N 32 (isobutylidene diurea), Floranid Permanent, Basatop, Alzodin allround, and Allzon plus. Contrasts the cost per 100kg, cost per kilogram of nitrogen, application rates per hectare (assuming 50kg of nitrogen is wanted per hectare), cost per hectare, and total cost for 12 hectares. Also examines other factors of use: drift/visibility after application, dust level, combustion/damages from overlapping, ruts (from traffic), duration of effectiveness, uniformity of distribution, and phytotoxicity. |
